I take my right to vote seriously. I won't bore you with the reasons why. But this is one of the few things I am passionate about. Don't vote? Don't bitch.
Sure, they may all be crooks, but you can at least vote for the candidate you think is the least of all evils. Your vote matters. Really.
I'm going to check in on this tomorrow. Thought I'd share in case anyone might be interested and hadn't heard about it.

P.S. No, I don't think they're all crooks.

Rock On!!!! With you 100%
I agree that people should vote - what bothers me is when people vote without knowing the implications of the vote...
VOTE INFORMED...bla.
yeah, true. i don't care who you vote for, just know why you're voting for that person if i ask. which i probably wouldn't, unless you're my brother or something. cause that's some personal shit.
i'm not out to change anyone's mind about who they're voting for. i just really believe apathy is what gets us into trouble. You gotta care. it's too important not to.
I've already voted... On how rank ketchup is on mac and cheese. I think I just chundered in my mouth...
have you ever even tried ketchup on your mac and cheese? i take what you say about food with a grain of salt...oh wise one who used to add grape juice to his cereal along with the milk.
see tiny dancer you're wasting your vote...because you're wrong.
Catchup(Ketchup)(mr. burns in the grocery store...one of my favorite Simpsons evar) on Mac & Cheese is a win. for everyone.
Catchup...Ketchup...Catchup...Ketchup...Catchup...Ketchup...Catchup...Ketchup
I'm going to just say it plain and simple, I don't vote. And it is exactly for the reason Marc says... I'm just not informed enough. I was registered to vote when I was younger, independent, and I just voted independent up and down. Then I realized that was pretty dumb. So when I moved, I didn't register, and I won't until I have enough knowledge about the local, state, and national politics. And no, I am not sitting around complaining about governmental bs all the time.
Oh, and when I told my parents this same thing a long time ago, they completely agreed with my decisions. So this is stamped with mom and dad approval.
hey, mag...whaddya mean you're not informed?
i've seen you eat mac and cheese before. next time you do, grab some ketchup from the fridge, throw it on there, take a taste and voila - you'll know how to vote!
too bad the poll is closed though.
i have no problem with people not voting because they're not informed - under 1 condition:
Never, ever under any circumstances are they allowed to complain about the outcome of an election OR the subsequent actions of said elected official if they didn't take the necessary time to become informed and contribute to the decision - if you dont vote - you have no right to complain - you give that up ...in my opinion anyway
