Among other things, we did some walking around the 'hood this weekend. It was the weekend of the turtle, not the ninja variety. But they were still cool and were everywhere!
This one: not so happy about having his picture taken.
This turtle didn't seem to mind us snapping shots of her while she was busily laying some eggs.

I just heard a piece on NPR this morning about this is the week or two for Loggerhead Turtles to lay their eggs on the barrier islands in Georgia. Isn't interesting that your Ninja turtles lay their eggs at the same time and in the same way? Gotta love nature.Love and peace,The Breadmaker

yea, see - what she doesn't say is that i was following her with my wife and 2 kids in the car...and she just slammed on her breaks for no apparent reason...to get a picture of the turtle laying eggs by the side of the road...
